If we don’t have central heating in our apartment ( in CA), is the landlord required to buy us space heaters?

  1. Not that I’m aware of, especially given the fire hazard posed by space heaters.

  2. Nope. Should of thought of that before you moved it. If he had central air and it was broke, then he is required to fix it. You should of known there wasn’t central air in there when you moved in. If you get a heater, you better tell him you are. He has the right to tell you not to have one, for fire purposes.
