Small Apartment Help.Whats that TV show where they help you decorate?
I have lived in this small apartment for almost 4 years, It very affordable, We can not move. My boyfriend just moved in with me and we both are not handy in anyway (using a drill and what not)
I know there is ways to put stuff on walls and make more room for us, but we don’t know what we are doing, I can see we are both getting depressed living like this but we can’t afford anything else right now. I wanted to enter for some help on a tv show I have seen before on cable, but I don’t know what it is since we don’t have cable. Does ANYONE know where I can find help! I need someone thats handy and smart. or the name of the tv show so I can enter to get help.

There are a couple of different TV shows that do room makeovers and/or help you organize. One of them is on TLC – Trading Spaces. To be on Trading Spaces you have to have another couple that you swap rooms with. Here is the website for Trading Spaces, but I don’t see a place to enter. Go with the show “DESIGN ON A DIME” really good ideas and really inexpensive.
first, to address the depressing part…you two should take a whole day and go through all of your belongings and absolutely gather everything you don’t need (things you haven’t used in years!) and donate them or sell them if you can (try craigslist, it’s free or have a yard sale). then clean and reorganize. seriously, you’ll feel so much better when you do.
second, creating more space starts with one thing…good closets. if your closets have a lot of shelves and spaces for different sized things, you’re in the money. you can find things to make your closet a magical one at wal-mart (really inexpensive, yet really effective!) or the home depot.
