Hello I am moving to florida but i am having a hard time finding an apartment. My credit is great but my boyfriends is very bad he had a bankrupy 6 months ago and a forcloser on a house. We cant find any apartments that will only let me be on the lease and all the apts. that want us both will not qualify us for the apt.
I want a apt. in a decent area. Does anyone know of any apartments that deal with bad credit or will let me only be on the lease that is not in the ghetto or a bad area?
In most Florida cities, the cost of homeowner’s insurance has at least tripled. You drive thru a neighborhood and you’ll see 20% of the houses up for sale…3 month later, half of those houses will be for rent. Yet, if you can’t afford the extra $4000 bucks a year for insurance, you probably can’t afford $1400 a month to rent a house. Even the cost of apartments are closing in on home rentals, leaving thousands of people with no option but to move out of state. This includes counties which haven’t been hit by hurricanes in 20+ years. How is this going to effect Florida’s economy in the long run? If the statewide census goes down, will prices go up? Is this going to force large corporations out of the state, leaving people jobless? Or will something happen in the future that will even things out and make living affordable? Floridians don’t have New York City type incomes, yet the cost of living is slowly headed in that direction. What’s your opinion about Florida’s future?
There are a lot of large corps down here…Blue Cross Blue Shield, Equifax/Certegy, Danka, IBM, Raymond James, Raytheon…unfortunately, they are downsizing and relocting due to skyrocketing insurance costs…and home resale values have more than doubled in the past 5 years…causing more taxes owed, and accounting for a portion of the insurance rates increase…but when those 4 hurricans hit Florida, the insurance co’s took advantage of everyone. No hurricanes in our area for over 20 years…minimal claims filed…its crazy to raise rates the way they have. We never got a refund during all those years when we didn’t see any hurricanes…this new Citizens Insurance of a last resort is actually at least 25% cheaper than insuring thru a large company…and guaranteed where as places like State farm will insure your car but not your home.
Just moved to Laurel Maryland, from Florida, and my Behold T-Mobile phone all of sudden has no reception at home, unless I walk out to the parking lot of the apartments. I’m currently arguing with them to let me out of my 2 year contract with no luck yet. Who is the best cell phone provider for the laurel maryland area, since I now have to dump T-Mobile?
I recently moved from an apartment complex in florida and moved from the state. I asked if i could leave behind items and my apartment complex agreed to hold them until they could be sold. there was no mention of a storage charge or a charge for moving the items from the apartment into storage. 3 weeks later i get a letter in the mail saying i owe the complex over $200 for the storage. ………………………..are they allowed to do that? there was NO TALK OR MENTION of a storage fee in person when the agreement was made, on the phone or in emails until 3 weeks later when i got the letter in the mail. there was no contract or anything. they told me they have to “legally store my items for 30 days at my expense”…..(is there a florida law that says that, if so can you find it and show me)…….if so, why didnt they tell me before i left?…………i dont feel like i should have to pay the charge when i was not notified of it…i lost my job and they knew that and know the money problems i have since i lost my job………..i feel like they are taking advantage of the situation and trying to get money from me.
help me please!!!
