I heard there is a 3 day out clause after you sign an apartment lease in Florida . Is this so?

  1. No it’s not true..

  2. Actually, the best way to find out is to call a Real Estate company and ask to speak to a Property Manager. They would let you know in an instant. I know what the ruling is in Nevada, but Florida I am unsure about….Good luck.

  3. you need to read your lease agreement. usually there is. if you dont understand it call a lawyer. although you may loose your deposit.

  4. Sometimes. There’s also a 48-hour “buyer’s remorse” clause that applies. It’s a federal statute that says you have 48 hours to change your mind. There should be a clause in the lease explaining both of these laws. If not, that could also be reason to cancel.

  5. Cherl there has the best answer – everyone gets 2 days for every contract – but you should also contact a real estate agent or Lawyer to know your rights.

  6. Unless Florida has a specific law addressing that issue there is no Federal law to that effect.
In this forum participants, such as myself, give opinions on subjects that they feel they know the answer to and sometimes those opinions sound exactly like the right answers but they might not be due to the varying laws in each state, and anyone can make a mistake, that’s why I like to give links to resources that you can check all answers against, including my own opinions, in case my opinions are wrong. Since most of these links are from state & federal government & non profits sometimes they change them, let me know if the links are wrong so I can go find the new ones. So to that end here are some links that you might want to check before relying on information and opinions that you get in here, and that you might be considering following up on and as always verify everything with a licensed professional.
