Disagree. I’m a liberal, and so is my mom, and my mom is also a born-again Christian. Why would anyone hate Christians? I do get annoyed when anyone of any religion gets preachy to me or tries to force their morality on me, but it’s not anywhere near hate. I think the whole “conspiracy against Christianity” is a bit overblown and massively ridiculous, I mean there are Christian churches on every street across this country, so I’d say they don’t have it so rough.
Disagree. Liberals hate hypocrites. Sanford claims to believe in a faith that prohibits certain activities which he behind closed doors. Sanford makes speeches citing his religious beliefs and pushes legislation by using religious arguments. If you are going to base your career on being pious and then it is uncovered that you are a liar and a fraud I think that’s grounds for liberals to strongly dislike him.
Palin is worse. If Palin really loved this country she would leave its leadership roles to people with an IQ above that of a high schooler.
Disagree. I am a Liberal and I just see another politician that can’t live up to unrealistic expectations that we have in this country concerning the people that represent us. We all expect our politicians, particularly conservative ones, to live up to standards which many of us don’t live up to. While I will agree that Gov. Sanford’s actions are hypocritical in the sense that he supposedly represents the party of morals and family values, I also think that there is plenty of hypocrisy among the population so that it isn’t fair to pick on one person over another in regard to it. I happen to be Christian myself, and it says in the Bible that we all fall short of living up to God’s standards for us. Just remember what Christ said to the woman convicted of adultery,”Go, and sin no more.” Sanford came clean and asked for forgiveness. I do, and hope he has learned his lesson and continues to represent his constituents in a more humble and sincere manner. The whole thing should be a private family matter.
And I don’t dislike Gov. Palin, I just disagree with her on almost every level in politics.

I don’t hate Sarah Palin, I just disagree with her on several important issues.
I don’t hate Mark Sanford either, but I hate that he claims to be a conservative Christian, criticizing others for not conforming to Christian ideals aka “family values” all while HE himself doesn’t live up to his own supposed Christian morals.
I think what they are trying to say is that he claims to be a Christian and is all for morals and values like Christians are supposed to be but yet he cheated on his wife.
