    The article cited below says that the Sanford Lake Dam forms a reservoir that is a popular fishing, boating, recreation area. Maps and information are here:http://www.mlswa.org/Sanford-Lake-748/Fa…
    EDIT …
    Page 24 of http://www.oakland.edu/energy/MREP_Annua… notes that there is some hydroelectric power generated by the dam.
