Why Would Sanford’s Wife Take Him Back When He Said Maria Is His Soulmate, Not Her?

Desperate? I have no idea why she would want him back after he publicy humilated her.
Let’s see how long he lasts with Maria.
It is her reigion from her interviews aired last friday and for her family. For the children and her, not for the Governor.
But that was until the new revelations of the philandering Governor. He has had many more affairs, somehow that they where not sexual, there not so bad.http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2…
Probably because it’s not easy to ignore the history that has existed in a marriage. This is the person who you fell in love with ages ago, who knows your strength / weaknesses, has seen you at your worst / best, who has fathered your children, who you have made life decisions with together (ie to get into politics) etc.
I’m not suggesting this isn’t painful to her or wasn’t a betrayal but the simple fact is that affairs happen. In a long term relationship sometimes a husband & wife take each other for granted, stop communicating properly, stop putting forth the effort to stay in love. Instead of properly fixing the problem they allow themselves to seek out what they need with someone else (its a trap of sorts).
If two people who started a life together with the best intentions can get over the hurt and rekindle that which they once had, more power to them. If she can’t, then I understand as well. The simple fact is that in a marriage a husband or wife WILL one day hurt us (intentional or unintentional)..its a question of if this is something she can forgive.
Because he really needs her to do so in order to save his political career.
Maybe she has political aspirations too…then she’d need him.
Look at Bill and Hillary. Marriages that stay intact for convenience aren’t all bad. They seem to genuinely like eachother.
It really comes across as “look honey, I’ll make sacrifices too. I wont be with my soulmate and you’ll sacrifice trust and fidelity. See, we’re both sacrificing”
I read an article that says she knew about Maria for months! he begged her to allow him to go see his mistress! she begged Sanford not to go back to Argentina, and had HOPED he was hiking in the Appalachians…you can tell she aint no black woman, she would have had him off’d by now.
She just doesn’t want to take her SORRY *** out and get a JOB!
SHE ALSO DOESN’T WANT HIM TO LOSE HIS SINCE THAT IS THEIR SOURCE OF MONEY!

I can’t imagine why he said that and then claimed he wanted to work on his marriage. He must be completely insane. I wish his advisers would stop him talking.
She may be trying to save her marriage for her kids. He said he wanted to save it too.
