At my apartment it seems that there are way more apartments than spaces for tenants to park in. My roommate and I each have a car, and for our two bedroom apartment there is only one space, and little to no legal street parking in the area.

Since the walls are concrete, anything involving nails or tacks is impossible. Also, we are not allowed to paint the walls. The carpet is short and a boring multicolored blue.
My boyfriend and I just moved here a couple of months ago, and we are having a hard time coming up with decorating ideas. We really don’t want to resort to taping up band posters and making it look like a dorm, although we are college students (19 years old). We also do not have a whole lot of money to work with.
I just want to brighten up the place and add some personality to it. Any ideas about how I can do this with limited resources and funds?
