I suck at these sorts of things.

I have the plot plan. It’s a 1 bedroom, 680 sq ft 3rd floor lakeview apartment with patio access from both the bedroom and from the living room.

I don’t have any furniture, BUT, I thought…if there was a cool way to arrange the furniture to maximize the space, that would be cool. Is anyone out there willing to do that, or give me some tips?

I basically have a TV, speakers, a desk chair. and that’s about it! I’m considering buying a love seat. Do you think I need a coffee table?

I need help. Anyone out there willing to work a small project with me for free?

I live in an apartment with paneling on the walls. I am not allowed to paint over the paneling, but it is so dark and depressing. I have asked the landlord and I can’t paint or apply wallpaper, as he wants the paneling to remain the way it is. I’ve searched online and in stores for tapestries but my biggest wall is 180″ by 90″ and none of them are big enough. Covering only part of the wall is not an option because the paneling sticks out (I’ve tried it with a smaller tapestry).
I would like to add (in case it wasn’t clear before) that using pieces of art work doesn’t work well due to the dark, drabness of the paneling that’s behind it. Even when you can see little pieces of it, it distracts you. It’s really ugly.

I’m 24 with no kids and In college. I don’t know how I want to decorate my new apartment that I’m moving in Friday. This will be my 2nd aparment. Have any ideas how I should decorate? Is there a website where i can get some bachelor pad ideas? I really need help.

Now I am not trying to look like New York’s elitest people or poorest either. So what type of decor should I have to make my place look like a typical new york city apartment? (This apartment does have white doors and white carpet so is that a start?) I have also seen in movies that some have catholic images for wall hangings. Some also have superman like in Seinfeld. So yeah what type of wall hangings and such should I buy? (I am in rural texas by the way.)

soo…we both love the miami hurricanes…he likes redskins..and i the packers. we are getting an apartment sometime nxt year bu i wanna start planning ahead.

i’ll be 20 and he 21 when we get out. I’m very much a girly girl, and i want my apartment to have a grown-up feel…but yet a fun side, not TOO mature decor. my bf is a typical male…doesn’t like anything womanly at all.

the apt. will be all white, and can’t paint the walls or anything. i dont wanna put things up on the walls. so i want to do colors that pop and look really good!!

help me come up with decor (color pallette mainly) for a kitchen, family room, dining room, bathroom and bedroom!!

I just got my own apartment and want to decorate my room in a hollister type theme. I’ve planned to paint the room dark brown, brownish sheets/comforter and a lot of fake plants. I’m also trying to find some track lighting, and possibly some neon signs..any other ideas?…im not trying to mimic hollister, just get that look/feel

Hey, I’m moving out my parents house and I need a cheap decorating ideas.I’m gonna be renting a 2 Bed/2 Bath Apartment with a screened in porch. I want to use the 2nd bedroom as a guest room, office,and gym. Most of the stuff I need is for a living room. I’ll go ahead and list all the stuff I already purchased below. By the way I know how to sew.

What I have:
Dining Table w/ 4 chairs
Computer Desk(Guest Room)
Bed, Dresser and Nightstand
stuff for kitchen( cooking stuff, cuttlery,plates, baking stuff,etc)
Cheap outdoor bistro set
Twin Bed( for guest room)
Treadmill(guest room)
Exersize Bike(guest Room)

I’m starting with a blank canvas, with the exception of a dark blue (navy) sectional couch, grey carpet. Couch is here to stay for now and we can’t remove the carpet because it’s an apartment. How should I decorate it? What colors go with it?
*By the way, it’s a living room. There will be a tv in there, so of course we’ll be getting a tv but it will be wall mounted, so..

Ok, We just got married..straight out of college. Our apartment still has the college dorm look, we dont really have a style. None of our furniture matches itself, etc. How can we make it look GREAT with out spending a fortune?? Please keep in mind that we cannot paint the walls, but we did just put up some ivy wall-boarder.
