We own an apartment-turned-condo that is a little over 1000 sq. ft. 2bed 1 bath. The master bed has a “walk-in” closet — it’s actually not very walk-in friendly.
We’re thinking about extending the bathroom into that closet to make room for a soaking tub and a separate shower — Japanese style.

Do you think it’s a bad idea to get rid of that closet, even though we’ll add that very awesome bathroom?

Long story short: about 5 months ago my house was completely destoyed in a fire. I’ve been living the worlds smallest apartment. And they are finally almost done rebuilding our house. My parents said because me and my twin sister have been through so much we can do our room ANY way we want. So, I need some REALLY REALLY REALLY good ideas because for me, this is a once in a lifetime chance. My parents would usually never let us do our room how we want it. So anyway, here are some details:

So I am renting an apartment and I can’t change the wall color (white) and the whole apartment is white. The living room/dining room contains: a black couch and chair, a black side table with a black lamp base and red shade. The kitchen table is black and the chairs are black with a red seat. I am thinking about adding more red into the living room, but I’m not sure how. Any ideas with be welcome. I’m sick of looking at black and white!

My husband and I live in a small apartment with a small living room. It is rectangular in shape. We have too much furniture and it’s all too big. Hey everyone!!! I’ve been thinking about this video game that I would want to design. I’ve got the general idea and some of the framework for the gameplay, but I want to know if it’s something you guys would play. In response to this question, please:
1.) Tell me if you would play it,
2.)Tell me your all time favorite videogame
So, here goes!
Your character lives in a New York like city. Large, densly populated, dirty. Your character is a fresh out of college student whose hobby is sports, mostly pickup basketball and krav maga. You live in an apartment with your younger brother. Recently, the crime rate has been steadily rising, but not where you live. On the other side of town. You don’t care, everything is good with you. Then, it seems like you hear about more and more crime closer and closer to your apartment. Then, after a day at the gym, you return home. Your front door is bashed in and the lights are off. You slowly enter to find your brother laying on the floor, bleeding everywhere. You call 911. From this point, you steadily notice more crime. You witness your local bank being robbed, your car gets stolen, and you even see an old man being beaten by some thugs. You’ve had enough. You decide to put an end to this and attempt to clean your city up. Should you just go out in a football helmet and beat the tar out of the thugs with your bare hands? If you really want to take care of it, wouldn’t you rather just buy a gun? But then, should you kill the men who are killing those you love? Is that justice or revenge? You choose.
The game will be a close, 3rd person view game, Similar to The Bourne Conspiracy. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UI31KnJoI…
The game will be free running. Similar to Assasins Creed, however a little bit more deep. I will model the free running movements after parkour. ( If you dont know what this is, look it up on youtube). The focus of Parkour is to get from A to B in the fastest, most eficient manner. If you watch a free runner do his thing, it is amazing. It will feel flowing, almost liquid. The free running will be a combination between The Bourne Conspiracy, Assasins Creed, and Mirror’s Edge. You can explore, patrol, protect, the entire city, free roaming.
Next, the fighting. As you can see from the gameplay from The Bourne Conspiracy, the fighting was simplistic and frankly, lame. Almost every single fighting game out there is a button masher. This game won’t be like that. You will have the choice as to where and how you strike. Complete control. The fighting will be based around Krav Maga and Fillipino Kali. Again, I havn’t figured out a sure control scheme but there will be a way to be good or bad at this game. As I implied earlier, you can use whatever you want. Your fists, a bottle, a baseball bat, a gun, a shotgun, an M-16, even a bomb. But, whatever means you use, will affect who you are in the game. Sure, you may get it done quickly, but are you actually stopping crime, or are you just creating more of it. Furthermore, if you use a baseball bat, you can beat a man in order to get him to talk, or you could beat him to a pulp…dead. How far are you willing to go? So, similar to a Fable type choice.
If you do choose to use a gun, it will be a high quality shooter. In line with Gears of War. Many 3rd persons suck, but not this one. Cover and reloading will also tie in perfectly with the fluidity of the gameplay.
In order to not be repetitive, when you get in a car, you switch to a first person view and it turns into a full fledge drving game. The choices you make while driving will change what happens too. You could drive around running people over, but this will have a drastic effect on who you are.
So, now why should people care about stopping the crime? You could just spend hours and hours jumping from rooftop to rooftop, even robbing banks yourself. But the longer you let the crime go on, the worse its going to get. It will get worse and worse even to the point that it is irreversable. Everyone you know will be affected by the growth, your city will shut down. So, you probably want to keep it clean.
So as you can tell, this is still just a concept. But imagine what it could be. There is just a severe lack of quality superhero games and even games that make you feel like the bomb when you play.
I want all your suggestions. Story, gameplay, control scheme, gimme it all… THANKS FOR READING!!!!

I just moved into a new apartment and bought all new furniture. My girlfriend insisted on getting red colored couches. In my own opinion, red is a very difficult color to match anything with. I gave in and got the red couches. All I can do all day is stare at them with this disgusted look on my face because I have no idea how to decorate the rest of the living room. I do have a couple of ideas, but I’m not enthralled with them. If anyone out there has experience with interior design, or has any ideas about matching red couches with curtains, area rugs, furniture etc, please feel free to comment. The only thing I can think of is going with cherry colored furniture (No Black) and different colors of creams, and beige’s. I thought of going with an Asian look because Asians use a lot of red. There you go. There’s all of my ideas. Please help!!!!! Thanks

It all started when she was hired to decorate an entire apartment of newly weds, but unfortunatly she was very bitter about something she keep babeling about i don’t know. She didn’t get her work done because she was being such a les about her work. Well she didn’t show up on time at the apartment she was decorating and I was forced to make small talk with these two love birds and they asked me what ideas I have for their nursery so I told them and they loved it, I ended up designing the entire apartment because Grace just didn’t show up. Well when she finally comes they are telling her how thankful they are and all that crap and she takes all the credit for it. She thinks if Kurnal Sanders was stoped on the street and complimented about his chicken he woudln’t say thanks but Ramone made it. She thinks she is Kurnal Sanders but shes not, I am. It was my original recipie. She is Ramone! Am I right or what? Should I quit?

I’m looking for some inspirations for my new apartment’s kitchen. I want to go with an italian look. So far all I can think of it some grapes and wine bottles. Any idea’s or links would be great!

I’m not an architect but the other day I came up with a simple but (as far as I know) original idea for how apartment blocks could be drastically improved in a way that would yield improvements for the environment and for residents’ quality of life. I have the skills to create a 3D rendering of the design, but not the skill or time to do this in the way I assume an architect would, i.e. with detailed information on materials/internal architecture/reaction to extreme weather conditions/cooling mechanism etc etc.
Nevertheless I honestly believe my design is worthwhile, so I have two questions:
1) Is there any way I can make money from the idea, even though I’m not an architect?
2) If not, I’d like to see the idea implemented anyway, or at least know why it wouldn’t be viable. What should I do?
