I’d like the solution to be as budget friendly as possible.
I am looking to rent the extra space above my garage as an apartment. What do I need to do to get started?
I was told that there are many legal steps I need to take. Do I have to have a special license, can I create my own lease and will the neighborhood laws stop me from doing so?
I have also been told that it is illegal to rent to non-family members, is that true? Or can is it okay to rent the space to anyone?
