I am in love with her apartment and would like to re-do my own place like the one on the show. However, I need some help doing it. I want to know what you would call her apartment taste? Hope I’m making sense. I know they make books about how to decorate, but I want to be more specific in my research. Any help is appreciated!
I figured if anyone would know how to make a space look nice, it would by my gay guy friends. Every time I go to a gay man’s house, it’s always has such nice decor. Sorry if that sounds like stereotyping, it’s just always been my direct observation through my own life experience. Gay guys houses and their decorating style also usually has such creativity too. Things I would have never thought of.
Here’s my issue. I live in a REALLY crappy, tiny, (like not even 400 square feet) efficiency apartment on campus. Think dorm room with a kitchen. So..how do I make it look good? And keep in mind, I’m on a college student’s budget..which means I pretty much am broke most of the time.
The walls are all brick and painted white. I have that horrible fluorecent lighting in every room except the bathroom. I have no carpet. The floor is all like a fake wood tile looking stuff. Really..it’s horrible. My apartment needs a fashion makeover. Help!
Well..I should say I have some money to spend on making it look nice, but not go all extravagant.
Jay B..I do have a floor lamp. I also have a bedroom. I’ve been TRYING to get you to come check that out..but..ugh..Canada. Why must be like an entire continent away?
Kyle..yes, I have a bed, not a futon. I do have a cool, bright red papasan chair in my livingroom area though.
Ya know..I really do want a disco ball. But not the traditional silvery one..but the one with the multi-colored lights..like DJ’s use at clubs and stuff. That’d be awesome.

I reside with my husband whose feng shui kua # is 3. My kua # is 7, so how do I balance both our Kua #’s for interior decoration? Can I just focus on mine for home interior decoration and my husband’s at his office interior, as per his kua #3?
I moved into an apartment a few months back and the place is still barren. I got a bed and a couch and that’s pretty much it. I’m buying new furniture and wanna make the place spruce but I don’t know anything about decorating. My question is are there any good free sites with pictures of different designs that I can actually look at? I’m not so much into the idea of learning how to put what together, I just wanna look at some pics for good ideas. I like modern a lot. I’m going for a swanky bachelor pad.
