How long DOES it take???
My friend is being completely ridiculous right? She is very unhappy with her life so she is deciding to run away to Florida. Now, if she we’re an experienced adult hiker with money and guaranteed shelter, there would be less of a problem.
But the matter of fact is that she is 14… and very much broke. Yes, a 14 year old wants to run away to Florida and live with her Floridian boyfriend. Do his parents know about this? I don’t know. Do her parents know? Of course not! Does this make any sense? NO. Right?
She’s arguing with me that she can walk on foot to Florida from Central New Jersey… I think she’ll end up either dying or getting seriously injured. What does every one else think? Help me persuade her out of this with statistics and big numbers, because at first, I thought this was going to be another joke, but now I’m starting to think she is serious!

I am moving to DC for the summer and am considering a place in this area. I am 21, female and am wondering if it would be a safe place for me to walk alone at night. My apartment would be 3 blocks from the metro.
