Okay, so you guys always here the sad story of a girl who wants to leave home and I want to leave. My parents are controlling, rude, snooty people who will eventually leave me. I’m 17 years old, 4 more months until graduation, 6 more months until I am 18. I am graduating before I leave and turning 18. I have had to much of my parents hurting me to make it any longer. They insult me and call me fat, I dress ordinary, and they call me names like stupid, idiot and many more. I think its time I showed them what I can do. Im very level headed and I want to prove to them that I can make it far. After High school I want to do two years of Votech and study Graphic Design, after that if Im still doing okay Id like to enroll in a four year college and get a bachelors degree. I dont do drugs, smoke or even drink, I have a job as a waitress and will work five days a week after I move out.
My question is, what do I need to start preparing for me leaving. How much money do I need to save to not worry about the first bills and stuff. I might get a roomate, but I dont really know the girl…. I work with her and go to school with her and she’s cool, is that a good idea or someone better? What kind of apartment do we need? We live in Oklahoma. Also my car is under my name and my parents, can they take the car from me after I turn 18? Or before I tell them Im leaving should I get it switched to my name? How much do regular bills pile up too?
Please help me answer some of these and dont say, ” stay with your parents.” Everyone eventually leaves home. My brother left at 17, and I now understand why. I want to prove to them that I can make it and that it may take trial and error, but I will succeed and be a responsible adult.
Dont say get emancipated. I dont want to do that.

okay so im about to cry. i don’t know what to do
i’ve dated this guy for 9 months now. i’ve never felt about anyone the way i feel for him. i know he’s the one. i love him to death. the very thought of losing him brings me to tears. and its a mutual love. now he’s almost perfect. only one flaw…he’s not a stable guy. like he doesn’t have a profession. i’m not a gold digger thats the last thing i worry about a guy. i know money doesn’t buy happiness. im not looking to live in a mansion or a house. i just want an efficencie or a small apartment. when i marry him. i have a certification as a medical secretary. he has nothing just his highschool diploma and he has had many jobs. but never a stable job. most of his jobs last months never years. that scares me so much its the only thing that keeps stoping me from marrying him. he’s pretty cheap or like he likes to call it “thrifty”. im not a big spender i just buy what i need and rarelly what i want. should i go back to school and study to be a nurse or should i stick with living a hard knock life from now to the future.
he’s always coming up with new ideas like selling water and gatorade at the beach, which he did, i helped him design the cooler.
now he wants to open a business cleaning houses in miami and wants me to help him. now my family allowed me not to continue college if i promised them i would not clean houses for a living. cus when they came to america thats what they did.
he worries me so much he’s 23 and isnt’ professionally stable

Okay so im moving, and i need ideas to design my room! I am a 16 typical girly girl. However, my last room was pink, so i dont want another pink room! I want my room to be more mature..i love the store freepeople and i love their store layout…its very earthy and floral and gorgeous! (like anthropologie) I also love the show, “The hills” and i love Audrina’s apartment..its like achocolate brown witha very mediterannean vibe! The carpet in my new rom will be navy blue so, help me choose a color that goes well with navy blue!!

Next month I’m excited about moving into my new apartment, and I have several unique ideas in mind to help give this place my own sense of style and flair. The apartment manager says it’s perfectly fine to paint walls and make needle-sized nail holes in the walls, as long as it’s all repainted and holes are filled in before checking out.
I want to put some fake ivy up on my wall to wreath the upper edge of my walls in the main living room. Additionally, I was thinking of hiding some white christmas lights behind the ivy to give the room a soft glow.
Has anyone ever done something like this before? What do I need to know to make this type of project work? Can you think of any other design elements for the room that might make this room theme look extra super, and yet livable?

My fiance and I are moving into a really classy apartment. It’s a one bedroom, one bath with beige walls and beige carpet. It also has beige tiles stretching from the kitchen to the dining area. I want to bring some color to it but stay classy and classic (he hates modern design). I need some ideas for color schemes we have no furniture yet so anything goes.

I am making a design around my room and I want there to be a quote or two in it and I would like some ideas that could stretch around the room.

Moving into my new apartment and would like some ideas on how to paint, create furniture, anything really. I’m really into DIY so those ideas will get preference. I also would like it to look very modern, minimalist, and simple. Any links to websites or blogs that deal with DIY indie modern interior design would be greatly appreciated.
