I am moving to a new apartment and there is a fairly large balcony. There is an overhang that provides a little shade, but not too much. I am not too proud to say that when it comes to interior design (exterior in this case), I am completely inept (also I don’t have a ton of money). It’s a top floor balcony, can get really windy at times, and very sunny. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good website that could give me some ideas on how to convert this outside space into a nice, live-able room that everyone will enjoy in all seasons?

okay so im about to cry. i don’t know what to do
i’ve dated this guy for 9 months now. i’ve never felt about anyone the way i feel for him. i know he’s the one. i love him to death. the very thought of losing him brings me to tears. and its a mutual love. now he’s almost perfect. only one flaw…he’s not a stable guy. like he doesn’t have a profession. i’m not a gold digger thats the last thing i worry about a guy. i know money doesn’t buy happiness. im not looking to live in a mansion or a house. i just want an efficencie or a small apartment. when i marry him. i have a certification as a medical secretary. he has nothing just his highschool diploma and he has had many jobs. but never a stable job. most of his jobs last months never years. that scares me so much its the only thing that keeps stoping me from marrying him. he’s pretty cheap or like he likes to call it “thrifty”. im not a big spender i just buy what i need and rarelly what i want. should i go back to school and study to be a nurse or should i stick with living a hard knock life from now to the future.
he’s always coming up with new ideas like selling water and gatorade at the beach, which he did, i helped him design the cooler.
now he wants to open a business cleaning houses in miami and wants me to help him. now my family allowed me not to continue college if i promised them i would not clean houses for a living. cus when they came to america thats what they did.
he worries me so much he’s 23 and isnt’ professionally stable

My question is open and aims to generating ideas in this area of how to make large/tower buildings with large number of tenants equipped with technology. New form of utilities has emerged, like internet, video on demand, Telephone over IP, smart elevators. There are also new technologies available that could be used to equip luxury apartments with fantasy electronics. This new form of utilities and equipment need to be planned, designed, blue printed, implemented, operated, managed and maintained. Any ideas ?

I live in a small one bedroom apartment with five indoor cats. I currently have 2 large-ish litter boxes that I scoop daily too keep everything…not gross. So, I was reading that I should have a box per cat plus one, but I don’t really have much room for that. I have the litter boxes in my laundry room, which is, I dunno, probably 10-12 feet long and 4-5 feet wide (I’m guessing from memory). It’s a decent size, and I have a stacked washer/dryer unit, so that helps keep space available. I was wondering if I could get some ideas for giving them more box space, and I guess look better.
Here’s the current problems I continue fighting with:
1. I use tidy cats scoop, which is amazing litter, but tracks EVERYWHERE and I have linoleum floors, so it scatters as well.
2. Someone, no matter how clean I keep the box, continues to poop on the side.
3. The 2 brothers love to roll in the litter when it’s either replaced or freshly scooped, I guess to show appreciation. They’re adorable, but it’s gross, if that makes sense. I don’t really expect this one to be solved here, but it came to mind, and is kind of funny.
I’m looking to make this room kind of more comfortable for them. Aside from the occasional laundry that I forget to do, it’s the one room in here that is pretty much devoted to them, and I had originally hoped to design it so they could play in there as well, which they do, but only in the litter. Soooo, suggestions for ways to fix up this room for the kids, I guess? (I also can’t put litter boxes anywhere else in the apartment. There’s just no room)
